INDUSTRY'S LOWEST POWER µP SUPERVISORS ARE IDEAL FOR PORTABLE APPLICATIONS
SUNNYVALE, CA-March 10, 2004-Maxim Integrated Products
(NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX6854-MAX6869, nanopower microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuits with optional manual reset and/or a watchdog timer. With 170nA (typ) supply-current, these devices are ideal for portable applications such as glucose meters, cell phones, PDAs, pagers, and MP3 players.
The MAX6854-MAX6869 monitor system voltages for undervoltage conditions. Each device is offered with reset thresholds from 1.6V to 4.6V in approximately 100mV increments. Reset timeout periods are available from 10ms to 1200ms (min). These devices are offered with active-low push-pull, active-high push-pull, or active-low open-drain outputs.
Other features include a manual reset (MAX6854*/MAX6855*/MAX6856*, MAX6861-MAX6869*), and a pin-selectable, reset timeout period (MAX6861/MAX6862*/MAX6863*). A watchdog timer input (MAX6864*-MAX6869) provides timeout periods of either 1.5s or 95s (min). The MAX6854-MAX6869 are available in a 5-pin SOT23 package and are specified for operation over the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). Prices start at $0.92 for the MAX6854-MAX6863 and $1.18 for the MAX6864-MAX6869 (1000-up, FOB USA).
