LOWEST CAPACITANCE 2-/3-/4-/6-CHANNEL ESD-PROTECTION ARRAYS IN UCSP

 
 

SUNNYVALE, CA-February 14, 2003-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX3202E-MAX3206E, 2-/3-/4-/6-channel ESD-protection arrays. These devices feature a low 5pF input capacitance ideal for high-speed USB 2.0, FireWire, and video applications. Packaged in a tiny UCSP, these devices save more than 60% board space over comparable alternatives. The MAX3202E-MAX3206E protect communications lines up to ±15kV per Human Body Model, ±8kV per IEC 61000-4-2 Contact Discharge, and ±15kV per IEC 61000-4-2 Air-Gap Discharge.

The MAX3202E-MAX3206E operate from a 0.9V to 5.5V single supply and require only 1nA of operating current. The MAX3202E is a 2-channel device for USB 1.1/USB 2.0 transceivers. The MAX3203E has three protection arrays ideal for USB On-the-Go and video applications. Designed for Ethernet and FireWire, the MAX3204E protects four lines against ESD strikes.

The MAX3202E-MAX3206E are available in UCSP and thin QFN packages in the extended-industrial (-40°C to +85°C) temperature range. Prices start at $0.33 (2500-up, FOB USA).
