DUAL LVDS RECEIVER WITH LOW 400ps PULSE SKEW
SUNNYVALE, CA-February 27, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the newest member of the Maxim LVDS family, the MAX9159 line receiver for high-speed applications requiring minimum power, space, and noise. The device conforms to the ANSI TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standard, and translates LVDS to LVTTL-compatible output levels. The MAX9159s guaranteed 400ps (max) differential output pulse skew minimizes bit errors, making it ideal for signal and clock distribution in networking and telecom applications. The low pulse skew also maximizes imaging resolution and speed in printers and copiers, including those that employ dithering and grey-scale techniques to enhance image quality.
A fail-safe feature sets the output high when the inputs are undriven and open, terminated, or shorted. The MAX9159 is available in an 8-pin SO package and fully specified for the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range. It is a pin-compatible replacement for the SN65LVDS9637.
Prices start at $1.36 (2500-up, FOB USA). Refer to the MAX9111/MAX9113 data sheet for higher performance single/dual LVDS line receivers in SOT23 and SO packages. Refer to the MAX9110/MAX9112 data sheet for single/dual line drivers in SOT23 and SO packages.
