LOWEST POWER 3GHz LVECL/LVPECL RECEIVER/DRIVERS

 
 

SUNNYVALE, CA-February 5, 2002-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9321/MAX9321A/MAX9321B, the fastest and smallest members of the Maxim 3GHz LVECL/LVPECL family. The LVECL/LVPECL line driver/receivers are ideal for clock and data distribution in automatic test equipment, central office switches, networking switches and routers, and SONET/SDH communication applications where signal and clock integrity is critical.

The MAX9321/MAX9321B are pin compatible with the MC100LVEP16 and the MC100EL16. The MAX9321/MAX9321A are designed to operate with a wide supply range from 2.25V to 3.8V in PECL systems and -2.25V to -3.8V in ECL systems. The MAX9321B is for 3V to 5V operation in PECL systems and -3V to -5V in ECL systems. Differential output voltage is specified greater than 300mV at 3GHz and is specified for the extended temperature range -40°C to +85°C. The maximum supply current is 24mA, a 35% improvement over the competition. The MAX9321/MAX9321A are available in 8-pin SO, µMAX, and SOT23 packages. The MAX9321B is offered in an 8-pin SO package only. The thermally enhanced 8-pin SOT23 package offers a 70% size reduction over the industry-standard SO. Prices start at $4.87 (1000-up, FOB USA).
