SUB-MICROAMP OP AMP IN TINY SC70 OPERATES DOWN TO +1.8V

SUNNYVALE, CA—September 27, 2001—Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4470 family, the industry's smallest sub-microamp op amps. The MAX4470 is designed to operate from a 1.8V to 5.5V supply, while consuming only 750nA of supply current at 5V. Available in SC70, SOT, and TSSOP packages, the MAX4470 family is ideal for applications where power consumption and space are an issue. Guaranteed to operate to the end of battery life of two NiMH, NiCd, or Alkaline batteries (1.8V), these devices maximize a system's performance and operating duration.

Other features include ground-sensing input common-mode range and outputs that swing Rail-to-Rail. Gain bandwidth for the MAX4470/MAX4471/MAX4472 is 9kHz. A 40kHz decompensated version with 5V/V minimum gain is also offered for extended gain bandwidth.

Prices start at $0.48 for the MAX4470 (single) and $0.65 for the MAX4471 (dual) at (1000-up, FOB USA).
