HIGH-CURRENT, LOW ON-RESISTANCE ANALOG SWITCHES
SUNNYVALE, CA-June 14, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4655–MAX4660 medium-voltage analog switches. These parts feature low 10 on-resistance (RON) and high current-handling capability making them ideal for mechanical reed relay replacements. They can handle up to 300mA of continuous current (MAX4655/MAX4656) and 400mA of peak current (MAX4655/MAX4656). Normal power consumption is only 3mW, whether the switch is on or off. These parts are TTL/CMOS compatible and do not require a VL supply.
The MAX4655–MAX4659 are single-pole/single-throw (SPST) switches. The MAX4655/MAX4657 have a normally closed (NC) switch input and the MAX4656/MAX4658 have a normally open (NO) switch input.
These parts offer 10 RON (max) and 1 RON flatness (max) at ±15V supplies.
The MAX4659/MAX4660 are single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) switches. These parts offer 25 RON (max) and 2 RON flatness (max) at ±15V supplies.
The MAX4655–MAX4660 operate from ±4.5V to ±20V dual supplies or a +9V to +40V single supply. The MAX4657/MAX4658/MAX4659 are available in 8-pin µMAX and SO packages. The MAX4655/MAX4656/ MAX4660 are available in the exposed paddle 8-pin µMAX and SO packages. All products are offered in the extended (-40°C to +85°C) temperature range.
