LOW-COST COMPARATOR FAMILY CONSUMES ONLY 2.8µA IN SC70-5
SUNNYVALE, CA-December 27, 2000-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9021/MAX9022/MAX9024 low-power comparators with a signal propagation delay, typically 3µs. The MAX9021 series of comparators consume only 2.8µA, offer a push-pull output stage, requiring no external pull-up resistor for rail-to-rail output performance, and fit in the space-saving 5-pin SC70 package. The combination of low power and low cost in a 2mm x 2.1mm package make these comparators ideal for high-volume consumer and industrial applications where small size and extended battery life are critical.
These comparators operate from a single +2.5V to +5.5V supply. The guaranteed operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C ensures stable operation in harsh industrial environments. The input voltage range allows for ground sensing and the 4mV internal hysteresis is designed to prevent erroneous output transitions.
The single MAX9021 is offered in the space-saving 5-pin SC70 and 5-pin SOT23 packages. The dual MAX9022 comes in the 3mm x 3mm 8-pin SOT23 package and the quad MAX9024 is packaged in the small TSSOP. Prices start at $0.29 (1000-up, FOB USA).
