PRECISE, MICROPOWER, LDO VOLTAGE REFERENCES OFFER 5ppm/°C TEMPCO

SUNNYVALE, CA—November 17, 2000—Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX6161-MAX6167 family of micropower precision voltage references. These references feature a proprietary curvature-correction circuit and laser-trimmed thin-film resistors that result in an extremely precise 5ppm/°C temperature coefficient and an initial accuracy of better than ±2mV. The MAX6161-MAX6167 use only 90µA of quiescent supply current while still sourcing current as high as 5mA and sinking current as low as -2mA. Dropout voltage is less than 200mV for voltage options of +2.5V and above. These devices are internally compensated for stability with capacitive loads of 0 to 1µF. A wide selection of output voltage options are available: 1.25V, 2.048V, 2.5V, 3V, 4.096V, 4.5V, and 5V. Applications include portable battery-powered systems, A/D converters, PDAs, cell phones, notebook computers, and many other applications where size and accuracy is essential.
