+3V/+5V, 250MHz, SOT23 ADC BUFFER AMPLIFIERS ACHIEVE -88dBc SFDR AT 5MHz

 
 

SUNNYVALE, CA—April 26, 2000—Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4285–MAX4288/MAX4387–MAX4388 single-supply, 250MHz op amps, available in space-saving SOT23-6 packages. The combination of single +3V/+5V operation, wide bandwidth, low -88dBc SFDR (at 5MHz), and fast 6ns 0.1% settling time makes these op amps ideal for a variety of high-speed single-supply ADC preamp/driver applications for communications and instrumentation.

These amplifiers operate from a +2.85V to +6.5V single supply or from ±1.425V to ±3.25V dual supplies, and their input common-mode range includes ground. They have a large-signal -3dB bandwidth of 200MHz, a slew rate of 350V/µs, and an output current drive up to 100mA. In addition, the MAX4285/MAX4286/MAX4288/MAX4388 have a low-power disable mode that reduces supply current and places the outputs in a high-impedance state, making them ideal for low-power multiplexing applications.

The MAX4285/MAX4286 single amplifiers with disable are offered in the space-saving 6-pin SOT23 and 8-pin SO packages. The MAX4287/MAX4387 dual amplifiers are offered in 8-pin µMAX and SO packages, and the MAX4288/MAX4388 dual amplifiers with disable are offered in 10-pin µMAX and 14-pin SO packages.
