16-Channel Bidirectional Logic-Level Translators Ideal for Portable Equipment Applications
Sunnyvale, CA-May 2, 2006-Maxim Integrated
Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the
MAX13101E*/MAX13102E/MAX13103E/MAX13108E
16-channel, bidirectional logic-level
translators. No direction pin is required to
determine the path of logic translation. This
reduces component pin count and makes these parts
well-suited for portable equipment applications.
The MAX13101E/MAX13102E/MAX13103E/MAX13108E
operate from a 1.65V to 5.5V power supply and a
1.2V to Vcc logic supply, and transfer data at
rates up to 20Mbps, making them ideal for
communication between low-voltage ASICs and
higher voltage devices. Additional features
include a low 0.3µA quiescent current,
±15kV ESD protection on the I/O Vcc lines, and a
shutdown state option. Three different output
configurations available during shutdown, allow
the I/O on either the Vcc or VL side to be put in
a high-impedance state or pulled to ground
through an internal 6kΩ resistor.
The MAX13101E/MAX13102E/MAX13103E/MAX13108E
operate over the extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). These
devices are available in a 5mm x 5mm, 40-pin TQFN
and a space-saving, 3mm x 3mm, 36-bump UCSP™*
package. Prices start at $2.50 (1000-up, FOB USA).
UCSP is a trademark of Maxim Integrated Products, Inc.
* Future product-contact factory for availability.
