Microcontroller Clock Support Overview
Silicon timing devices (silicon oscillators) are replacing crystal and ceramic resonator clock sources in many microcontroller applications.
They are robust, relatively immune to electromagnetic and mechanical interference, and some models are programmable.
Spread-spectrum clock generation products lower emissions to improve compliance with EMC specifications. TCXO products work with crystals
to provide ultra-high clock accuracy.
