Lithium Battery Statement

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIPMENT OF PRODUCTS CONTAINING BATTERIES

Some Maxim products contain lithium metal batteries. These batteries are exempt from United Nations (UN) class 9, and meet the requirements of Special Provision SP188. These batteries also comply with IATA Special Provision SP45, and have been tested per UN Manual of Tests and Criteria Part III, subsection 38.3 by the battery manufacturer. Shipping requirements are per IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR) packing instruction 970.

All Maxim products containing batteries ship with the following label to comply with IATA 2009 requirements.

Maxim uses the following lithium batteries manufactured by Panasonic Corporation. All battery types contain < 1g of lithium.
