Fuel Gauging Support

Dallas Semiconductor provides development tools and software algorithms at no cost to help customers design an accurate fuel gauge using Dallas devices. DS2760PALM is fuel-gauging software which runs on a Palm™ PDA and communicates through the Hotsync® port to a DS2760. It provides a portable evaluation tool for Dallas' fuel gauging algorithms. See Application Notes AN121 and AN131 for more information on Li-Ion-based fuel gauging.

1-Wire Communication Support

The 1-Wire Master is VHDL or Verilog code for a 1-Wire UART hardware block that can be designed into a host system ASIC to simplify 1-Wire communication to Dallas Semiconductor 1-Wire products. See also the 1-Wire Master data sheet DS1WM, and Applications notes AN119 Embedding the 1-Wire Master and AN120 Communicating through the 1-Wire Master.

Hardware Design Support

Dallas Semiconductor provides recommendations for circuit design using Dallas devices. PD071200 is an example of a complete Li-Ion cell pack solution using a DS2760 and an IRF6150 in a small 32 mm x 5 mm x 2 mm form factor.
