These rugged ICs use Maxim's proprietary gold-plating process for resistance to metal migration. VCSEL/laser drivers and high-gain receivers readily operate up to +125°C. All products are compatible with industrial and automotive standards using plastic optical fiber (POF) or silica fiber at data rates up to 150Mbps.
