Current-Sense Amplifiers (CSAs) Provide Precision Specifications
When offset voltage is low, smaller VSENSE voltages can be measured accurately. For example, if VOS is <250µV, VSENSE as low as 5mV can be measured with only ±5% error. This allows the use of small sense resistors, thus reducing power dissipation and easing system design.
When gain error is low, for example gain accurracy ≤0.6%, VOUT has a negligible effect on the error budget.
