Vivek Jain
Senior Vice President of Manufacturing Operations
Vivek Jain joined Maxim in April 2007 as Vice President of Fab Operations and brought over 23 years of extensive experience in various aspects of semiconductor process technology and manufacturing. Prior to joining Maxim, Mr. Jain was Plant Manager at Intel's Technology Development and Manufacturing facility in Santa Clara, responsible for 65nm flash manufacturing/transfer and development of 45nm flash technology.
In his first two years at Maxim, Mr. Jain made significant improvements to Maxim's wafer fabs in all aspects of manufacturing operations—quality, cost, and service. In June 2009, he was promoted to Senior Vice President with expanded responsibilities, managing test and assembly operations in addition to wafer fab operations. This consolidation of operations provides a single point of manufacturing accountability for customer delivery performance, inventory and cost control, and product quality.
Mr. Jain holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at New Delhi, an M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He has published over 30 papers and holds over 10 patents in the field of semiconductor technology.
