Press Room

Press Room SUNNYVALE, CA—May 12, 2008—Maxim Integrated Products (PINK OTC MARKETS: MXIM) introduces the newest members of its RISC MAXQ® microcontroller product line: the MAXQ7665/MAXQ7666* system-on-chip (SoC), mixed-signal microcontrollers for sensor applications. Designed for use with anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensors, the devices provide a complete system solution for the contactless sensing of linear or angular position/displacement. Requiring only 7mm x 7mm of board space, these compact microcontrollers integrate all of the functions needed to accurately measure the low-amplitude signals of AMR sensors, and provide analog and/or digital outputs. Designed to digitize and process signals in harsh, space-constrained environments, the MAXQ7665/MAXQ7666 are ideal for automotive applications such as steering, braking, and throttle position control, as well as industrial control applications such as valve positioning and shaft rotation. more...
