ULTRA-SMALL 16-BIT, 16-CHANNEL DAC IS IDEAL FOR ATE, OPTICAL NETWORKING, AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

SUNNYVALE, CA-February 28, 2003-Maxim Integrated Products (NASDAQ: MXIM) introduces the MAX5621/MAX5622/MAX5623 16-bit, 16-channel, voltage-output digital-to-analog converters (DACs). These new devices represent the smallest and most accurate 16-channel DACs available in the industry at any resolution.

The MAX5621/MAX5622/MAX5623 integrate a single 16-bit DAC, on-chip RAM, internal clock, sequencer register, and 16 channels of sample-and-hold amplifiers. This integration provides within 0.015% of the full scale output, making these DACs ideal for automatic test equipment (ATE), industrial process control, and optical control electronics such as MEMS servo control, laser characteristics control, and optical amplifiers.

The MAX5621/MAX5622/MAX5623 are available in 68-pin QFN (10mm x 10mm) and 64-pin TQFP (12mm x 12mm) packages. Prices start at $29.26 (1000-up, FOB USA).
