LOW-VOLTAGE CMOS MUXES FEATURE 15ns SWITCHING TIMES

SUNNYVALE, CA-September 7, 1999-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX4617/MAX4618/MAX4619 high-speed low-voltage low-on-resistance multiplexers. Each device operates from a single +2.0V to +5.5V supply and features fast switching times of 15ns tON, 10ns tOFF at +25°C. This family is pin-compatible with the industry-standard 74HC4051/CD4051 (MAX4617), 74HC4052/CD4052 (MAX4618), and 74HC4053/CD4053 (MAX4619) muxes.

These devices feature low 10W on-resistance at +5V, and also guarantee 1W max matching and flatness between channels. The excellent frequency response characteristics of these ICs (-93dB off-isolation and -85dB crosstalk) at 100kHz make them ideal for use in high-quality audio applications. All digital inputs have +0.8V logic thresholds, ensuring TTL/CMOS-logic compatibility when using a +5V supply.

The MAX4617 is an eight-channel multiplexer, the MAX4618 is a dual four-channel multiplexer, and the MAX4619 is a triple, single-pole/double throw (SPDT) switch. They are available in space-saving 16-pin TSSOP, SO, and DIP packages. Prices start from $0.92 (1000-up, FOB USA).
