QUAD LVDS LINE TRANSMITTER

SUNNYVALE, CA-June 5, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9124, the newest member of the Maxim LVDS family. The MAX9124 quad low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) line transmitter accepts four low-voltage LVTTL/LVCMOS input levels and translates them to LVDS output signals that conform to the ANSI TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standard. This product is ideal for applications requiring high data rates, low power, and low noise, such as digital copiers, laser printers, cell-phone base stations, telecom switches, and network switches/routers.

Two LVTTL/LVCMOS inputs, EN and EN-bar, can be used to set all four outputs to a high-impedance state and reduce power consumption to only 16mW (typ). The enables are common to all four transmitters. The MAX9124 operates from a single +3.3V supply and is specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C. It is available in 16-pin TSSOP and SOIC packages, and is pin-compatible with National Semiconductor’s DS90LV031. Prices start at $2.12 (1000-up, FOB USA).
