QUAD LVDS LINE DRIVER WITH FLOW-THROUGH PINOUT

SUNNYVALE, CA-February 20, 2001-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX9123 quad, low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) line driver with flow-through pinout. The MAX9123 accepts four low-voltage LVTTL/LVCMOS input levels and translates them to LVDS output signals that conform to the ANSI TIA/EIA-644 LVDS standard. This product is ideal for applications requiring high data rates, low power, and low noise, such as digital copiers, laser printers, cell phone base stations, telecom switches, and network switches/routers. The flow-through pinout simplifies PC board layout and reduces crosstalk by separating the inputs and outputs.

Two LVTTL/LVCMOS inputs, EN and EN-bar, can be used to set all four outputs to a high-impedance state and reduce power consumption to only 16mW (typ). The enables are common to all four transmitters. The MAX9123 operates from a single +3.3V supply and is specified for -40°C to +85°C. It is available in 16-pin TSSOP and SOIC packages. It is pin-compatible with the National Semiconductor DS90LV047. Prices start at $2.05 (1000-up, FOB USA).
