TINY SC70-6 CHARGE-PUMP INVERTERS

SUNNYVALE, CA-December 6, 2000-Maxim Integrated Products introduces the MAX1852/MAX1853 charge-pump inverters. These devices are the first charge-pump inverters available in the tiny SC70 package, and are just half the size of their SOT23 competitors. The MAX1852/MAX1853 operate over +2.5V to +5V input voltage range and are capable of supplying up to 30mA to their load while maintaining just 15Ω output resistance. Their small size and low output impedance makes these devices perfect for portable applications such as LCD and GaAsFET biasing in low-power handheld equipment.

The MAX1852 operates at 50kHz to achieve a low 60µA quiescent supply current, while the MAX1853’s 200kHz operating frequency requires only tiny 0.68µF capacitors. Both devices feature logic-controlled shutdown control and slew-rate limiting to reduce EMI and output voltage noise.

The MAX1852/MAX1853 are available in tiny 6-pin SC70 packages and are specified for the extended-industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C). Prices start at $3.30 (1000-up, FOB, USA).
