SUNNYVALE, CA—July 30, 2008—Maxim Integrated Products (PINK OTC MARKETS: MXIM) introduces the MAX4800A/MAX4802A 8-channel, high-voltage, low-charge-injection SPST switches controlled by a fast, 20MHz serial interface. Designed using Maxim's proprietary, BCDMOS process technology, these devices combine high-voltage, bilateral DMOS switches and low-power CMOS logic, thus enabling efficient control of high-voltage analog signals with low-voltage control signals. Additionally, these devices support a wide range of high-voltage supplies, including: VPS+/VPS- = +100V/-100V, +185V/-15V, and +40V/-160V. The MAX4802A also integrates 35kΩ bleed resistors to discharge capacitive loads such as piezoelectric transducers, thus saving cost and space by eliminating the need for external bleed resistors. Providing superior performance and design flexibility, the MAX4800A/MAX4802A are ideal for next-generation ultrasound imaging and printer applications.
These devices are functionally equivalent to the HV2203 and HV2303. Fully specified over the 0°C to +70°C commercial temperature range, the MAX4800A/MAX4802A are available in an industry-standard, 28-pin PLCC package, as well as 48-pin TQFP and 25-bump CSBGA packages. Prices start at $8.00 (1000-up, FOB USA).
