Taiwan is located east of the Taiwan Strait, off the southeastern coast of mainland China. Taiwan's technology industry plays a key role in the global economy, and Taiwanese companies manufacture a large proportion of the world's consumer electronics. Taipei is the capital city of Taiwan, and also its largest city.

The city of Taipei has a fascinating mix of new and old. Centuries-old cultural treasures and historic temples will take you back to the city's yesteryear roots. For something a bit more modern, you can take a trip up the world's fastest elevator to the heights of the world's tallest building—Taipei 101. The Taipei 101 Mall is located within the building and features some of the world's top brands. Taipei is also a great place for hikers, cyclists, and golfers, and there are endless options for fine cuisine.

There are two different groups located in Taipei: the Maxim Taiwan Sales Office and the Maxim Design Center. The two sites are about a three minute walk away from each other in the same business area.
