Maxim's Michigan office is located in Brighton, Michigan, which is part of the Detroit Metropolitan Tri-County Area. Detroit is known as the world's traditional automotive center, with America's three biggest motor companies (GM, Ford, and Chrysler) all having multiple advanced engineering and design centers located there. Also known as "the Motor City" and "Motown," Detroit was the birthplace of the famous Motown record label.
Brighton, located approximately one hour northwest of Detroit, is a small, quaint town of about 7,000 people. Housing is very affordable and the local area schools are excellent. Because of the outstanding educational programs offered in the surrounding area, almost all of the district schools have been cited for excellence by outside organizations. Brighton is also centrally located and approximately 30 minutes from both of the state's major universities: the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
The Brighton office was established in 2005 by Maxim's Automotive Business Unit. The automotive teams present at the site include Corporate Application Engineering, Customer Sales and Applications, and Quality.
