Colorado Springs, Colorado
Maxim's Colorado Springs Design Center is located in Colorado Springs, CO, nestled at the base of Pikes Peak. This beautiful city, which has over 300 days of sunshine every year at an altitude of 6,000 feet above sea level, was selected as the Number 1 Best Big City in "Best Places to Live" by Money magazine in 2006. The city also placed number one in Outside magazine's 2009 list of America's Best Cities.

Colorado Springs has affordable housing, including several new developments, and a wonderful selection of schools. The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs is about 10 miles from the Maxim facility. The military also plays a very important role in the area, surrounding the city on all sides—the Air Force Academy to the north, NORAD and Cheyenne Mountain to the west, Fort Carson to the south, and Schriever Air Force Base and Peterson Air Force Base to the east. This presence not only helps the city's economy, but also brings a great diversity to the population.

Colorado Springs is located on the eastern edge of the beautiful Rocky Mountains and is just a short drive to many activities, including skiing, hiking, biking, camping, and river rafting. Many of these activities can be enjoyed within the city limits at one of the many parks and recreational areas, such as the Garden of the Gods. There are four different mixed-signal groups located in at Maxim's Colorado Springs site: Multimedia, System Sensing & Interconnection Products, Storage Products, and Test.
