Sunnyvale, California
Maxim's Corporate Headquarters (Sunnyvale, California) and X3 Wafer Fab (San Jose, California) are both located in the Silicon Valley, which is part of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. The term Silicon Valley was coined because of the high concentration of companies involved in the semiconductor and computer industries in the area.

The Bay Area has a population of 7.4 million people and hosts many cities, towns, airports, and associated regional, state, and national parks, connected by a massive network of roads and highways. The Bay Area is renowned for its natural beauty, liberal politics, affluence, diversity, and new age reputation, and is home to a myriad of professional sports teams and world-class universities.

Within easy travel distance are a number of popular destinations: the wine country of the Napa and Sonoma valleys, the beaches of Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay, the coastal towns of Monterey and Carmel, and the beautiful Lake Tahoe area.
