Maxim Receives 2004 Best Partner Award from Quanta

On May 2, 2005, Barry Lam, Chairman and CEO of Quanta Computer, presented his company's "Best Partner 2004" award to Maxim, at Quanta's annual vendor conference in Taiwan. In his remarks, Mr. Lam praised Maxim for our outstanding leadership in power management technology, and for the high quality of strategic production support Maxim provided to Quanta when their material requirements increased significantly. Quanta is the largest notebook computer manufacturer in the world, producing over one million units per month. They supply notebook computers to Dell, HP, IBM, Sony, and other major brands. Maxim was the only semiconductor supplier to receive a vendor award from Quanta for 2004. Dave Timm, Managing Director for Notebook Products, flew to Taiwan to attend the conference, and accepted the award from Mr. Lam. Dave notes, "It was my pleasure to accept this award on behalf of Maxim, not only for our product leadership, but also for our outstanding operations and planning performance. Mr. Lam made it very clear that he considers Maxim a strategic partner."
