It could be better if you can get the FPGA code in order to learn the way this chip has to be handled; I asked for this, but never heard about the autor.

Hey Walter do you know which FPGA could be the best option between Cyclon II and III for this specific application?

We do not have the DVI card for sale. Maybe give you a layout file and you can build it yourself?

- Just finished making panel

I have just finished a MAX6974 project in which I made a panel with 80x52 (4160) RGB LED pixels (I used 260 MAX6974's). Although the application was infact a piece of public artwork for Aberdeen Uni it was technicaly capable of video display.
My own design driver board just used a single Xilinx CPLD CoolrunnerII which got its display data from a 128k Dual Port Memory chip and put this out to a single LVDS port. I used a Netburner MOD5270 on the other side of the DPRAM to create my moving image data.
I would post photos etc if I knew how.

Dear Walter Chen,
As You asked, I have sent the request through the web form, too. This was many days ago, but I haven't received a reply yet.
Best regards,
Sebastian.-
