i am doing a project currently, this is my first project i am using a 12V dynamo to charge in a 12V battery. but the 12V battery is required 13.5V to 15V input for charging. so i am very happy to see the MAX 668 step up circuit. this circuit is very suitable to my project. but i would like to comfirm that the 15V output from the circuit. is it 15V DC voltage or PWM? Besides that, i would like to know that have anybody had try this circuit before? is it can work? i am very sorry, actually i am not from electronic field, so i am not very comfident to my study about this circuit. And i hope somebody are expert in this field and especial in the circuit, please help me. this is very urgent, this is my email address
destmond_kam88(at)hotmail.com thank you so much....

I spoke to technical support. To answer your questions, the output is 15V DC; and all our circuits are tested before publication.

However, this circuit is not a good choice to charge a 12V battery. Depending on the properties of the battery there is a danger of over-charging.

There are battery-charging circuits on our web site and a number of parts designed as battery chargers.

If you need additional guidance, it's probably best to send a technical request using http://www.maxim-ic.com/support Include the type of battery, fully-charged voltage of the battery, and input voltage range. Our people may be able to help you choose a device that is well-suited to your application.
