- DS1922 consumed battery energy
|
(no rating) 2008-09-12 |
I want to look at a table where I can get information about a current consumption regarding to temperature. The graph should be present from -40 to 125degree. I should also read the sample intervall.
This text is not easy to understand.

Tobbe:
Thank you for the feedback. The table you are looking for is included already in the Gas Gauge Spreadsheet download file hyperlinked inside the App Note. Take a look at the Lookup and Lookup_T tabs of the spreadsheet. Note that the full range of temperatures is not applicable to a given device because the DS1922L operates from -40C to 85C and the DS1922T operates from 0C to 125C.

Interesting article but I'm looking for more detailled information. To be precised, I need to know the current consumption for RTC and for self discharge (it is merged in the spreadsheet). I also need to know the current consummed for temparature consumption, for humidity consumption and for data logging (it is also merged in the spreadsheet). I can't find any information in the datasheets. And I need to collect all these info for DS1921, DS1922 and DS1923.
Is there a way to get that ?
Regards
Vincent

Vincent:
This appnote comes with a download:
http://www.maxim-ic.com/images/appnotes/3761/3761Gas_Gauge.zip
The RTC and self-discharge current are found in the “Lookup” tab, column B. A temperature conversion needs a certain amount of energy (µAs) as specified in column C. The energy needed for a humidity conversion is also specified as first entry in column C. The charge values specified include the energy for logging.
The AN3761 spreadsheet includes values for the DS1922L, DS1922T and DS1923. Corresponding values for the DS1921 have not been compiled into a battery gas gauge spreadsheet. The DS1921 is more limited and the general expectation is that customers prefer using the more elaborate part to its predecessor, the DS1921.

Bernhard

I have been checking some new Ibuttons DS1923 that we have bought recently, and they all have around 50 000 samples in the total device sample ragister, the ibuttons appear to be brand new, but 50 000 samples at a sample rate of 60 minutes is 5,7 years which means these ibuttons are almost dead!
I checked other DS1923 from another batch we bought and it has 9000 samples (after some weeks of tests at our facilites). Is there any chance that an ibutton can come out of factory with 50000 samples? I am being fooled by my supplier?
regards,
Joao

I want to apologize that we did not reply right away -- because of a system error, your comment went unanswered. I will request that someone reply soon.
