If one puts DS350 instead of 78P2241 directly, without any transformer changes, LIU will receive signal with twice less amplitude. I do not believe it is a good choice.

Thank you for your comment. I talked to the applications support engineer and they agreed. If the DS3150 is used to replace a TDK 78P2241 without changing the transformer (as proposed in the application note), the DS3150 will not meet specifications, as you pointed out. The intent of the App Note is to offer an IC which (along with component changes) would allow the TDK part to be replaced.
