Abstract: This reference design is a complete optical transmitter intended for the Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) Multisource Agreement (MSA) market. The HFRD-03.0 transmitter reduces design time for SFP and other optical transmitters by providing the schematics, PC board layout, Gerber files and bill of materials for a complete SFP transmitter. Test data and typical performance from an assembled board are also given to aid in the evaluation of this reference design. Gerber files and schematics may be provided, however reference design boards are no longer available.
