Benefits of the DS2761 over the bq2018:
  • DS2761 has an integrated single cell Li-Ion Protector, bq2018 does not.
  • Optional integrated 25m sense resistor, bq2018 does not.
  • Available in flip chip package, smallest package for bq2018 is 8-pin TSSOP.
  • DS2761 can measure voltage, bq2018 does not.
  • Has lower max current measurement offset of +15.625uV vs. bq2018 max current measurment offset of +500uV.
  • Has true NV memory vs. battery-backed RAM in bq2018.
  • Has lower sleep current of 2uA (max) vs 10uA (max) in the bq2018.
  • Temperature measurement resolution is 0.125°C vs. 10°C for the bq2018.
